Temozolamide

Temodar is a prescription medicine used to treat the symptoms of certain types of brain cancer such as Anaplastic Astrocytoma and Glioblastoma Multiforme. Temodar may be used alone or with other medications.

Temodar belongs to a class of drugs called Antineoplastics, Alkylating.

It is not known if Temodar is safe and effective in children.

Temodar may cause serious side effects including:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• seizure,
• sudden chest pain or discomfort,
• wheezing,
• dry cough,
• shortness of breath,
• easy bruising,
• unusual bleeding (nose, mouth, vagina, or rectum),
• purple or red pinpoint spots under your skin,
• fever,
• swollen gums,
• painful mouth sores,
• skin sores,
• cold or flu symptoms,
• cough,
• trouble breathing,
• nausea,
• upper stomach pain,
• itching,
• tired feeling,
• loss of appetite,
• dark urine,
• clay-colored stools, and
• yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice)
